Job Description

  Job Purpose: Responsible for providing drink orders to service staff and guests, delivering prompt and courteous service.    Essential Job Functions: o Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the Hotel. o Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper attire/uniform and name tag when working. o Provide outstanding service to guests, members and other service staff in a friendly and professional manner, following proper steps of service. o Produce drinks for servers, guests and members according to standard recipes, and deliver to guests as needed. Make drinks only when rung in on MICROS. o Maintain familiarity with the wine list, the stemware and appropriate garnishes used. o Keep bar stocked and clean at all times. o Monitor inventory. o Ensure the consistency in the presentation and recipes of all cocktails. o Must maintain full familiarity with menus and knowledge of beverage offerings. o Be familiar with and enforce all policies related to TIPS laws. o Assist with front of house tasks to meet business demands, i.e. greeting tables and getting initial drink orders, polishing glassware, silverware, etc. o Assist in the orientation and training of new associates. o Participate in department meetings and other required trainings. o Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.   Qualifications: o Must have and maintain current CA Food Handlers and TIPS certifications. o 1 year bartending experience required. Prior server experience preferred. o Comprehensive wine, liquor and beer knowledge required. o Must agree and adhere to compensation acknowledgment and tip reporting guidelines. o Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, members, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone. o Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and multi task. o Must be able to work flexible shift including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements: o Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift. o Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects of moderate weight without assistance. Working Environment: o Interior of restaurant kitchen and designated bar area, with occasional travel around hotel property as needed. o Exposure to various hazardous chemicals. o Exposure to food items and beverages. Tools & Equipment: o MICROS computer and card, telephone, wine key   Pay Scale: $20.67-$27.56/hourly rate
