Job Description
Under the general supervision of the Beach Lifeguard Coordinator, the Beach Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of beachgoers by preventing accidents, enforcing safety rules, and responding to emergencies. This includes supervising swimming areas, rescuing swimmers in distress, providing first aid and CPR, and communicating with beachgoers about potential hazards. The Beach Lifeguard is also responsible for educating the public about the beach, water safety, and other public safety matters while ensuring compliance with state and local laws, including beach ordinances.
