Job Description
The Sr. Product Marketing Engineer manages the Industrial Wireless product line. This role serves as a key interface between various departments such as Sales, Channel, Technical Support, and Marketing within both the Sales Division and the Product Division.
The Sr. Product Marketing Engineer is responsible for coordinating all MOXA resources required to effectively manage the assigned product line(s) for the Sales Division, and for providing the Product Division with customer feedback and market intelligence to assess competitors and identify opportunities.
The Sr. Product Marketing Engineer will position the assigned product line(s) both internally and externally to drive growth and increase market share, while working closely with the sales team, channel partners, and key customers.
Major Areas of Responsibility
The primary product focus is Industrial Wireless, including Wi-Fi and Cellular solutions or Data Acquisition.
- Provide comprehensive industry, product, and application knowledge to support the success and growth of the Product Division and applicable vertical markets.
- Contribute to the publication of application notes, white papers, technical articles, and interviews in industry magazines, trade journals, and associations.
- Create training and sales presentation materials. Responsible for training internal sales and channel personnel on technology, product lines, targeted vertical markets, and relevant applications.
- Develop and align Sales Division business plans with Product Division strategies during annual business planning workshops. Act as a liaison between the Sales and Product Divisions to ensure both parties are informed of current business status and aligned on strategic direction.
- Serve as an ambassador for the Sales Division, representing the assigned product line(s) outside the organization.
- Coordinate and allocate internal resources to support sales teams in arranging on-site wireless testing for customers. Demonstrate strong communication skills to articulate the value of wireless products, and represent the company at industry seminars to present product advantages and share market insights.
Minimum Job Requirements
(A) Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Network Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
(B) Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product marketing or product sales, with 1–2 years of relevant technical background preferred (e.g., Wireless, Serial Connectivity, Remote I/O, PLC, or Industrial Ethernet).
• At least 1–2 years of experience in managing Product Marketing, Product Management, or other technical teams.
• Strong technical background is preferred.
(C) Language:
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
(D) Travel:
• Domestic and international travel is required.
• Estimated travel frequency: approximately 25%.
