Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Shop Manager to join our Equipment team in Hannibal, MO. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the maintenance and repair of company equipment, as well as managing and developing the team of mechanics and technicians. As a key member of our Equipment division, the Shop Manager will work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective use of company resources.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of company equipment in the shop, ensuring that all work is performed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Manage and develop the team of mechanics and technicians, ensuring that team members have the necessary skills and resources to be successful
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that equipment deployment aligns with the overall goals of the company
  • Develop and implement equipment maintenance strategies to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime
  • Manage relationships with vendors and equipment manufacturers, negotiating contracts and resolving any issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all equipment-related activities are carried out in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain equipment-related reports and metrics, and communicate equipment-related information to stakeholders
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in equipment operations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, with experience in a construction setting preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role, with experience managing a team of mechanics and technicians
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience negotiating contracts and managing relationships with vendors and equipment manufacturers
