Marketing / Content • Practice by Numbers
Location: Gurgaon (on-site)
Type: Full-time
Experience: 5+ years
About Practice by Numbers
Practice by Numbers (PbN) is an all-in-one operations and analytics platform built for dental practices in the United States. Since 2015 we have helped solo practices, multi-location groups, and DSOs run the business side of dentistry from one connected system instead of a dozen disconnected tools.
Our marketing team makes educational and product content for dentists, office managers, and practice owners across social, video, webinars, and the web. We are adding a dedicated video editor to raise both the quality and the speed of that work.
The role
We are hiring a Senior Video Editor who owns video from first idea to final export. You will not only cut footage that gets handed to you. You will shape concepts, tighten scripts, pitch new formats, and keep our content sharp against what works on each platform.
This is a hands-on senior role. You will produce short-form social, long-form and webinar content, paid ad creative, and product explainers.
AI is central to this job. We want someone who can prompt, direct, and edit AI-generated video to a professional standard, using platforms like Higgsfield, Runway, Google Veo, and Kling to create original footage and b-roll. You should treat AI generation as a primary skill you use every week, and reach for traditional editing wherever it gives the better result.
What you’ll do
- Edit across formats. Short-form social (Reels, Shorts), long-form content and webinars, paid ad creative, and product and explainer videos.
- Generate video with AI. Create original footage, b-roll, and full scenes using AI video platforms, then edit and finish them to a polished standard. Direct shots, camera moves, and styles through prompting, and keep characters and brand looks consistent across generations.
- Add creative value. Contribute at the concept and script stage. Tighten messaging, write stronger hooks, and restructure for retention.
- Pitch new formats. Propose fresh visual treatments and storytelling approaches, then test and iterate based on what performs.
- Track trends. Stay current on platform trends, editing styles, and audio conventions, and apply the ones that fit a dental and practice-owner audience.
- Move fast with AI workflow tools. Use transcription, text-based editing, auto-captioning, voiceover, and rough-cut automation to cut turnaround time while holding quality.
- Own the full pipeline. Organize footage, edit, color grade, mix audio, add motion graphics and captions, and export to spec for each platform.
- Collaborate clearly. Work with content, social, and campaign owners. Communicate timelines, give and take feedback well, and keep projects moving.
What you bring
- 5+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally in marketing, agency, or brand content.
- Hands-on AI video generation. You can prompt for specific shots, camera moves, and styles, fix weak generations, and edit AI footage into a finished piece that holds up.
- A creative mindset. You generate ideas, improve scripts, and care about why a video exists and what it should make the viewer do.
- Strong tool command. Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut, including motion graphics and captioning.
- Platform sense. You know what performs on social shorts versus long-form versus paid, and you edit for each.
- Clear, reliable communication. You handle feedback and deadlines without friction.
- A portfolio or showreel that shows range across formats. AI-generated or AI-assisted work is a strong plus.
The AI toolkit
You do not need every tool here. You should be fluent across most categories and quick to learn the rest. This space moves fast, so the specific tools will keep changing. What matters is your judgment about when to use them and how to get professional results.
- AI video generation (core): Higgsfield, Runway (Gen-4), Google Veo, Kling, Seedance, Luma Dream Machine, Pika. Prompting, shot direction, and character consistency matter most.
- Scripting and ideation: ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini.
- Transcription and text-based editing: Descript, Premiere Pro Text-Based Editing.
- Long-to-short and auto-clipping: Opus Clip, Vizard, Captions.
- Captions and subtitles: Submagic, CapCut, Captions.
- Voiceover and audio cleanup: ElevenLabs, Adobe Podcast (Enhance Speech), Descript.
- Image and asset generation: Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, DALL·E.
- Upscaling and cleanup: Topaz Video AI.
Nice to have
- Experience editing for SaaS, B2B, or healthcare and dental audiences.
- Depth in motion design, sound design, or color grading.
- Familiarity with paid ad creative and A/B testing variations.
- Comfort with Canva or Figma for thumbnails and supporting assets.
