Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiology team at our practice located at 140 Yarmouth Road in Hyannis, MA. This NP or PA will work 34 clinical, patient-facing hours and 6 hours of dedicated administrative time, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There are no weekend or on-call responsibilities associated with this position.The NP or PA will provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care to patients across a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions, including ongoing follow-up care for established patients. Responsibilities will also include supervising, interpreting, and reviewing diagnostic testing results. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a seasoned and well-established team of cardiologists in a collaborative and collegial environment, with strong clinical support and the ability to build meaningful long-term patient relationships in an outpatient-focused setting.
Summary
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for assessing and managing various patient populations, including those with medical and/or surgical conditions, as well as providing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, developing appropriate plans of care, and conducting ongoing evaluations. May also perform additional duties, such as precepting a small group of learners.

Essential Functions
-Provides direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
-Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
-Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
-Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
-Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
-Consistently provides high-quality and timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
-Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.

Experience
2 years of licensed nurse practitioner experience 1-2 years required
