Job Description
The Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Planning Team handles the End-to-End planning for JP AMZL, including providing volume forecasts, flexible capacity solutions for in-station and on road operations all year-round, and enables the business to scale for seasonal peak demand and during sale events. We are looking for an experienced Program Manager, to lead transformational on road and in-station program, improving planning cycle and accuracy through system implementation and change management. .
The ideal candidate is passionate leveraging data to provide actionable insights, is focused on delivering consistent results, and is experienced in driving behavioral changes in a cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders. They thrive in a fast-paced environment and making high-velocity decisions, working with senior stakeholders across teams and geographies, relish working with large transactional volumes, and are able to navigate highly complex and frequently ambiguous business context.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead Strategic Capacity Planning programs for both on-road and in-station planning and plan execution. Define and implement complex initiatives addressing critical business challenges across organizations. Ensure new process and tools are scalable for future Capacity Planning needs.
• Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with stakeholders including long-term topology and demand planning, mid-term volume and capacity planning, capacity supply partner teams to develop program strategy, manage timelines, and change management.
• Develop and Track Key Performance Indicators for the programs they lead. Hold stakeholders accountable for on-time, high quality program delivery.
• Own Effective Program Communication: Own identification of stakeholders, program communication plans and delivery. When tools are global, maintain communication with EU and NA teams to leverage experience and surface tool improvement needs. Promote process standardization across the network.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and ability to make high-velocity decisions in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment. Excel in managing large transactional volumes and working with senior stakeholders across teams and geographies.

The Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Planning Team handles the End-to-End planning for JP AMZL, including providing volume forecasts, flexible capacity solutions for in-station and on road operations all year-round,
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience working with data to drive business decisions, including advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience in Business English skills, both verbal and written
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Knowledge of SQL and Excel at a moderate or advanced level
- Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment
- Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
- Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese at a business level or above (N1+)
