Job Description
Overview:The Seasonal Pool Bartender is responsible for delivering elevated, resort-style service in a high-volume outdoor pool environment. This role requires a strong, engaging presence on the pool deck while providing exceptional beverage service, driving revenue, and ensuring an outstanding guest experience. The bartender must thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism, attention to detail, and brand standards.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional, personalized service to guests across the pool deck, including lounges, cabanas, and daybeds
Actively engage with guests, anticipate needs, and create a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with speed, accuracy, and consistency
Execute upselling techniques to promote premium spirits, specialty cocktails, and featured items
Take and deliver orders efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining service quality
Maintain strong awareness of guest needs, service flow, and cleanliness of the pool area
Ensure all interactions reflect a luxury, resort-style experience
Follow all responsible alcohol service guidelines and safety standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, tools, and equipment
Collaborate with servers, support staff, and management to ensure seamless operations
Operate effectively in an outdoor environment, including extended periods of standing, walking, and exposure to weather conditions
Uphold all company standards related to grooming, uniform, and professionalism
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of bartending experience, preferably in a high-volume, upscale, or resort environment
Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
Proven ability to multitask and perform under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Demonstrated success in upselling and driving revenue through guest engagement
Excellent communication and guest service skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Experience in outdoor or resort-style service environments preferred
Must have or obtain required certifications (e.g., TABC and Food Handler’s)
Ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weight for extended periods
