What is the opportunity?
Position can be located in Calgary or Edmonton
As a Senior Sales Consultant, Wealth, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and strengthening advisor relationships across your defined territory. In this role, you will develop and maintain profitable partnerships with MGAs and brokerages, collaborating closely with National Account Consultants and Inside Wholesalers to maximize the reach of RBC Insurance’s Wealth and Investment solutions. You will act as a trusted partner to insurance advisors by delivering sales concepts, market insights, and product updates, while also providing training and joint field support to help them grow their business. With a focus on relationship-building, business development, and community engagement, you will identify and prioritize top advisors, expand your external network, and capitalize on opportunities that contribute to both advisor success and RBC’s long-term growth.
What will you do?
- Develop relationships through networking, relationship-building, marketing, joint field work and training producers on RBC Insurance’s Wealth and Investment products with National Account consultants and MGA’s.
- Partner with Inside Wholesalers to develop and enhance existing and new relationships with insurance advisors in a defined territory with the goals of increasing the sales of RBC Investment products.
- Identify, prioritize and strengthen relationships with top advisors
- Build profitable MGA/Brokerage relationships, achieving business growth goals, revenue plans and cost controls
- Deliver presentations to advisors on sales concepts, market and product updates
- Increase external network to contribute to the community and to capitalize on business opportunities (centers of influence)
What will you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Professional sales experience that demonstrates a hunger and passion achieved through opportunity spotting, cross-selling, and meeting/exceeding targets
- A talent for listening, establishing trust with prospects, a dedication to finding the right solutions for clients
- An existing network of referrals and/or centers of influence
- A flair for building relationships and a strong work ethic
- A LLQP (Life License) and a University degree or equivalent
- Segregated Funds Sales experience
- Capability of travelling for business in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba regions
Nice to Have
- Extensive knowledge of the market and MGA model
- Understanding of the CIRO landscape
