
Manager, HR Public Relations & Employer Brand
Job Description
The Manager, HR Public Relations & Employer Brand supports efforts to shape and amplify the company’s colleague experience narrative through strategic public relations, media engagement, and employer brand storytelling. Reporting to the Vice President, HR Public Relations & Employer Brand, this role helps bring the Colleague Value Proposition to life for external audiences and prospective talent through modern, high-impact PR and employer brand strategies.
This role blends strong media relations fundamentals with creativity and a social-first mindset, helping translate people strategy and leadership priorities into compelling external stories across media, social platforms, thought leadership, and industry recognition. It also partners closely with Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Marketing to support recruitment efforts and ensure the employer brand is consistently reflected throughout the candidate journey, from recruitment and onboarding through the early colleague experience.
- Support execution of the HR public relations and employer brand strategy, aligned to enterprise and leadership priorities.
- Develop and pitch story ideas that connect people, culture, leadership, and the colleague experience to business strategy and outcomes.
- Build and maintain relationships with media, podcast hosts, and emerging platforms focused on leadership, work, and culture.
- Support executive visibility efforts, including LinkedIn content, bylined articles, speaking engagements, and awards submissions.
- Manage employer-of-choice awards and rankings processes, including research, submissions, and external amplification.
- Monitor media coverage, social conversations, and industry trends to identify opportunities, risks, and timely story angles.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver timely, high-quality PR programs.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Marketing to ensure employer brand messaging is consistently reflected across candidate marketing, hiring materials, interview touchpoints, onboarding, and new colleague communications.
- Track and report on media quality, executive visibility, employer brand impact, and use candidate and talent engagement insights to identify opportunities, refine messaging, and optimize communications strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in public relations, communications, or employer brand.
- Strong media relations experience with a track record of securing meaningful coverage.
- Demonstrated interest in modern PR, including social-first storytelling, podcasts, and emerging formats.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Collaborative, proactive mindset with sound judgment and attention to detail.
- Experience working in complex, fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to HR, talent, or leadership communications.
- Experience supporting recruitment marketing, employee experience, onboarding communications, or talent brand initiatives preferred.
- Graphic design experience is a plus, including Adobe programs.
- Agency experience a plus.
