The following position is available for the 2026-2027 school year:
Project LIFE Program Instructor
This position is a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in Career Technical Education. This position educates junior and/or senior career tech students and requires a licensed teacher to train and prepare students to be successful in their post-secondary education or job placement. The Project LIFE Instructor will assume responsibility for the delivery of quality education in a combined education and work experience program for students with disabilities. The instructor will ensure that maximum learning can take place and help students with special needs learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature and responsible citizens.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge of special education methods and laws with emphasis on classroom and community-based instruction focused on transition to employment, post-secondary training, and adulthood.
- Five years teaching experience.
- Effective and demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills
Requirements:
- Valid licensure through the Ohio Department of Education in Special Education, Intervention Specialist, or Education of the Handicapped (9-12) certificate with Transition to Work (TTW) endorsement or willing to attain appropriate teaching license.
- Willingness and ability to work with students, parents, job coaches, teachers, business partners, and administrators as a team member
- Ohio school van driver certification or willingness to obtain such certification
- Complete any and all Ohio Department of Education requirements, as needed.
- Must pass all required background checks including but not limited to FBI, BCI
- Bachelor's Degree in any academic subject area
