The Position
Maintenance EngineerJob Summary
Role overview:
Lead the maintenance and repairing activities for the site, ensuring the smooth operation of the site by implementing continuous improvement measures, while following the safety protocols of the company and the relevant legislation.
Reports To: Production Manager
Direct reports: Electrical engineers, Automation engineers, Maintenance technicians
Responsibilities and Duties:
Follows Imerys safety protocols and local safety legislation for the area of his responsibility, acting as a role model for safety.
Lead and direct workforce in problem identification, problem solving and implementing continuous improvements measures
Conduct site visits and surveys on daily basis
Produce installation and manufacturing documentation
Maintain accurate records of existing tools and assemblies
Details problem solving skills for preventive and reactive maintenance targeting root cause of the problem
Liaise and lead team to understand their design requirements and provide technical advice to manufacturing and construction technicians
Communicate with team on daily basis and make decision on issues related to productivity, cost reductions, and wastes elimination
Inspect materials, products, and/or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
Present working drawings for use in all stages of the project, tender, manufacture/construction and installation
Strong understanding of fundamental engineering principles, maintenance and automation and ability to apply principles flexibly in unfamiliar situations
Create high-quality detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs supplied by supplier, automation engineering and maintenance team
Ensure drawings are compliant with industry and health and safety standards and protocols
Calculate costs and apply knowledge of materials and engineering principles to check feasibility of manufacture and construction of the product/project
Oversee a team of employees for maintenance and repairing, including employee development and performance management
Qualifications & Experience
Technical BSc degree in Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
3-5 years min experience in relevant position in the industrial sector
Experience with Solidworks CAD software program or alternative to create designs in 2D and 3D models
Skills & Person Specification

Delivers results in a complex, fast-paced environment
Capable of setting priorities on variety of projects
