Job Description

Welcome to Warner Bros. Discovery… the stuff dreams are made of.

Who We Are…

When we say, “the stuff dreams are made of,” we’re not just referring to the world of wizards, dragons and superheroes, or even to the wonders of Planet Earth. Behind WBD’s vast portfolio of iconic content and beloved brands, are the storytellers bringing our characters to life, the creators bringing them to your living rooms and the dreamers creating what’s next…

From brilliant creatives, to technology trailblazers, across the globe, WBD offers career defining opportunities, thoughtfully curated benefits, and the tools to explore and grow into your best selves. Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Scope & Complexity:   You are managing multiple projects within MSC as a Program.  You implement activities that are scoped to the important components and processes of more than one team.  You work on projects that are important, complex and have cross-team dependencies.

  • Impact: You make an impact at a functional level and deliver features with complexity that can touch several areas.  You are considered proficient in at least one technical area.  You help drive clarity and define problems proactively.  You implement processes that generally impact a set of teams within the same area.  You are collaborating with the key leaders in the teams that directly interact with your immediate team, and you are familiar with their functional areas.

  • Decision Making: When you encounter problems, you are able to drive their resolution often, and when you cannot, you know who and how best to engage. When confronted with discordant views, you foster constructive dialogue and seek resolutions in a professional manner.

  • Problem Definition & Complexity:  You work on clearly- defined business problems without predefined technical solutions.  When you encounter problems, you can drive their resolution often, and when you cannot, you know who and how best to engage.  You can modify a project plan quickly when requirements change, or problems occur during execution.

  • Execution: You get a lot done. You communicate clearly, analyze technical designs, organize project timelines, secure commitments, manage risks, identify the critical path, spot edge cases, triage bugs, review metrics & data, and monitor launch operations. You switch effortlessly between these modes, adapting yourself to the needs of your workstreams.

  • Influence: You are a subject matter expert in your team domains.  Your sphere of influence has grown outside of your direct team, and you have built a strong cross-functional peer set.  You influence your team through data to guide roadmap priorities for features, software design changes and operational excellence improvements.  You have deep technical and business understanding of your team’s services.

  • Communication: You independently and effectively manage meetings across multiple business and technical teams, ensuring the right participants are in the room for productive discussions, and sending summary notes with action items afterwards.  You clearly and concisely communicate complex technical concepts and program updates to various stakeholders, including team members, executives, and external partners.  Your communication is timely, transparent, and  tailored to the needs of the audience.  You demonstrate the commitment to active listening and open dialogue that is essential to ensure that everyone is heard and understood.

  • Skills & Knowledge:  You are familiar with Media, Content Systems, and Media Supply Chain systems and technologies.

What to Bring:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, comfortable and experienced in leading project teams/scrum teams in an agile environment for developing media asset management or content management software.

  • Experience with Media Supply Chains and/or Content Systems.

  • Experience driving technical feature planning and delivery on software features in partnership with software development teams.

  • Ability to collaborate with technology resources on projects given a solid understanding of current technologies and trends.

  • Understanding of media asset management, media supply chains, content and asset registries, media file formats, and video transcoding.

  • Estimating, scheduling, coordinating, assigning resources, and assisting and recommending business solutions/alternatives for software projects.

  • A Great Place to work

  • Equal opportunity employer

  • Fast track growth opportunities
