Financial Analyst, OCSEPay Details:
The annual base salary range for this position in California is $90,000 to $125,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting in a wide range of FP&A activities and data-driven analytics that support OC Sports & Entertainment. This position will play a significant role in the timely delivery and presentation of the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and monthly reporting and variance analysis. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Create, manage, and maintain complex financial planning models to support the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-term planning
Analyze actual results against budget and forecast, research variances, and communicate findings
Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for leadership and business operators
Collaborate with leadership and operators to align financial plans with operational goals
Work with large data sets to answer critical questions and provide insights through key performance indicators
Engage in ad hoc analysis to support business decision-making and strategic planning
Assist in storytelling by preparing presentations and dashboards in support of executive meetings, monthly and quarterly business reviews, and various strategic and analytics projects
Drive process improvements and automation of financial reporting
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
3+ years of finance or accounting experience required
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions; experience with Power BI strongly preferred
Proven record of discreetly handling sensitive and proprietary information
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Customer service mindset when supporting internal needs and communicating with external parties
Able to work effectively under pressure, balance multiple priorities and assignments, learn independently, and work toward deadlines
Able to manipulate large quantities of data to build financial models and reporting packages

Education - Bachelor's Degree
