ACMS is currently seeking safety conscious crossing guards for the Davenport Community School District.
Being a crossing guard is a great way to give back to your community! By ensuring the safe crossing of children within your community, you are providing a valuable service that is appreciated by teachers, parents, caregivers, not to mention the children themselves.
How much does a crossing guard get paid?
Davenport School Crossing Guards earn $23.56 an hour. Shifts available before and after school. 7:05am - 8:05 am and 2:40pm - 3:10pm on school days. If both shifts are worked, you will work 1.5 hours per day and earn $35.34 per day!
What does a Crossing Guard do?
Crossing guards are responsible for ensuring the safe crossing of children and pedestrians across streets and intersections.
What are the qualifications needed to be a Crossing Guard?
A Crossing Guard must be very safety conscious. Their safety and the safety of the children they work with is of the utmost importance!
In addition to being safety conscious, the following are the minimum requirements needed:

- Must enjoy working around children
- Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to stand for 1-2 hours at a time and hold a stop paddle
- Good communication skills
- Friendly and caring attitude
