Role Overview:
As a Commissioning Test Manager, your primary responsibilities involve overseeing the operational readiness verification of newly installed or modified Structures, Systems & Components. This includes ensuring compliance with Start Up procedures, Site License Conditions, and adherence to statutory and regulatory standards for safe and reliable operation.
Key duties involve collaborating with various stakeholders across project delivery teams and external contractors to ensure operational readiness of People, Plant & Procedures in alignment with client requirements. This requires effective Leadership, Communication, Coordination, and integration to deliver high-quality results.
The Commissioning Test Manager shall support the client Start Up Manager to carry out managerial roles in leading a Start Up Team in the delivery of assigned Start Up projects in a safe and effective manner.
As a Commissioning Test Manager some of your Key Responsibilities could include:
Ensuring safety as the highest priority on the project, striving towards Zero Harm, and act as a role model in all aspects of safety, nuclear, radiological, conventional, and environmental safety.
Planning, balancing and prioritising Start Up resources to support successful project delivery and prioritisation of workload in line with project requirements.
Provide support and input to multi discipline design reviews, HAZCONs HAZOPs, HAZANs, and input into risk management, contract, schedule and estimates.
Support the development and implementation of procedures, ensuring compliance with Site Licence Conditions, legal and statutory requirements.
Develop Start Up Strategies, identifying Resource Requirements, cost profiling and collaboration with the project team to initiate and manage sanctioning of future project costs.
Identifying and implementing Intelligent Customer arrangements where required
Identifying audits and assessments to ensure that the required standards are maintained
Developing and implementing stakeholder management to optimise delivery, to obtain permissions and to mitigate risks.
Support Commissioning Test and Operability Team Leaders with the coordination and deployment of a multi disciplined Start Up Team
As a Commissioning Test Manager you must have a strong understanding of commissioning arrangements in line with Nuclear Site Licence Condition 21, supported by experience delivering commissioning work scopes to agreed strategies in a timely and cost effective way. Demonstrate proactive, balanced leadership in all aspects of safety nuclear, radiological, conventional, and environmental while ensuring integration with wider project processes.
