Job Description

ABOUT TOPGOLF

Topgolf is where golf meets a great time. We're a high-energy sports entertainment venue where every shift is different, every guest brings their own energy, and the people who work here make it all happen. If you're looking for a place to grow, have fun, and be part of something bigger than a job description, you're in the right place.

WHAT WE’RE SEEKING

Are you someone who takes pride in every plate, thrives under pressure, and brings your best every single shift? Do you have the technique, the speed, and the attention to detail that separates a good cook from a great one? Can you work multiple stations, execute recipes consistently, and keep your station spotless without being told twice?

We're looking for a Cook who shows up ready, executes with precision, and takes real ownership of their station. You’ll prep, cook, and present food that meets Topgolf’s standards every time — not just on good nights, but every service. If you love working in a fast kitchen and you care about the food you put out, this is your role.

THE ROLE

The Cook is responsible for preparing and executing high-quality food that delights our guests on every visit. This role requires consistency, speed, and a genuine commitment to food quality — across every station, every shift. Whether you’re on grill, fry, pantry, or prep, you bring the same level of care and execution every time.

This role requires a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with availability to work extended hours during peak periods, special events, and high-volume seasons.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Execute at Your Station

  • Prepare and cook menu items to Topgolf recipes and standards across all assigned stations — Grill, Fry, Pantry, Prep, Flattop, and Sauté
  • Execute prep lists completely and on time so the kitchen is fully stocked and ready before service begins
  • Plate and present food to Topgolf’s standards on every dish — same quality, same presentation, every time
  • Work as a dependable team member, communicating with your fellow cooks and supervisors to keep service moving smoothly

Own Your Station

  • Keep your station stocked, organized, and ready — throughout prep and all the way through service
  • Follow recipes exactly and maintain consistent food quality and portion accuracy at every station
  • Store ingredients properly to prevent spoilage and minimize waste, following all food safety guidelines
  • Arrange prepared food in designated areas for retrieval by serving staff accurately and on time

Keep the Kitchen Safe and Clean

  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain your work areas, surfaces, utensils, and equipment throughout and after each shift
  • Operate all kitchen equipment properly, safely, and report any maintenance concerns to the Chef team promptly
  • Follow all food handling, storage, and safety standards in compliance with local health and safety regulations
  • Demonstrate Topgolf's Core Values in every interaction: Fun, One Team, Excellence, Courage, and Caring

WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT HERE

  • You'll cook in one of the highest-energy culinary environments in entertainment — no two shifts are the same
  • You’ll take real ownership of your station and see the direct impact your work has on every guest experience
  • You’ll build your culinary skills with support from an experienced chef team that wants to see you grow
  • You'll work in a place where great food and a great time go hand in hand

CORE COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS

Being Resilient | You stay focused, keep executing, and bring your best even when service is popular.

  • Remains calm and professional during peak service, high-volume events, and unexpected challenges
  • Recovers quickly when things go sideways and helps the team do the same
  • Manages the heat — literally and figuratively — without letting pressure affect the quality of your work
  • Shows up with the same energy and effort at the start of a shift as at the end, because the guest experience doesn’t change

Communicates Effectively | You listen for direction, speak up when something’s wrong, and keep the line running as one team.

  • Listens to instructions from the Chef team and confirms understanding so nothing gets missed during service
  • Communicates clearly with fellow cooks and the front-of-house team to keep tickets moving and service on track
  • Flags food quality issues, equipment concerns, or supply shortages to the Chef team promptly and directly
  • Contributes to a kitchen environment where teamwork is the standard and everyone is set up to succeed

Customer Focus | You know that every plate you send out is part of someone’s experience, and you treat it that way.

  • Holds themselves accountable for food quality, presentation, and consistency on every single dish
  • Anticipates what the station needs before service and preps accordingly so there are no gaps when it gets busy
  • Understands that the guest experience starts in the kitchen and takes pride in being the reason it’s great
  • Always looking for ways to improve personal technique, speed, and consistency — and acts on it

Drives Results | You execute with urgency and precision every shift because the standard doesn’t take a night off.

  • Holds themselves to high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and execution — on every ticket, every shift
  • Completes prep, maintains station readiness, and executes service with a sense of personal ownership and urgency
  • Notices when something is off a technique, a portion, a presentation and fixes it without being asked
  • Takes pride in a kitchen that runs well, looks clean, and puts out great food consistently

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in a kitchen environment; high-volume or restaurant experience preferred
  • Ability to work multiple stations and follow recipe and food safety standards consistently
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older as required by state or local law
