Job Description
We are seeking a commercially astute and relationship-driven Key Account Manager to take the lead in managing the strategic relationships and contract delivery for a customer portfolio within the Viva Energy Resources Team.
In this high-impact role, you will own and grow customer relationships, drive value through a well-defined account strategy that integrates sales, operational excellence, technical expertise, and marketing initiatives. You will operate as a trusted advisor, building strong, multi-level relationships across complex organisations and identifying opportunities to deliver innovative, value-added solutions.
Your ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution will be key as you ensure seamless contract delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement across the portfolio. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing customer outcomes while delivering sustainable commercial performance for Viva Energy
Responsibilities & Requirements
- A strategic thinker, proactive in nature you enjoy seeking opportunities to provide value add to commercial deals
- Proficient in project management and able to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Effectively problem solve and align with business priorities
- Ability to understand and improve efficiency in end to end supply chain
- Ability to work effectively across multiple functions including commercial, technical operational and marketing to deliver key strategic outcomes.
- Able to understand and influence multiple decision makers and a myriad of stakeholders at a corporate level
- Customer focused, you have a hunger for sales and a passion for delivering and exceeding customer expectations
- You will be eager to build your capability in managing commercial negotiations and supporting tender responses
- You will have experience in strategic B2B account management / sales environment
- Have refined financial acumen and clear understanding of the drivers of value creation
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Sales, Marketing or related field highly regarded
- Technical background (Mechanical, Chemical, Mining) highly regarded
- Additional certifications in Sales or Account Management (desirable)
- Proven experience in Key Account Management or B2B sales
- Experience managing large, complex enterprise clients (e.g. Tier 1 mining)
- Strong contract management and commercial negotiation experience
- Track record of driving revenue growth and customer retention
- Experience working across multi-site or operational environments
