The Boeing Company is looking for a Staff Analyst to join the Mission Systems team in Arlington, VA., SoCal, Great Seattle, and Huntsville, AL.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Mid-Level and Senior Level Staff Analyst.
The Staff Analyst will play a crucial role in driving mission success by coordinating budgets, staff headcount planning and forecasting, ensuring business unit alignment, overseeing procurement processes, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, handling administrative tasks, and assisting with various other tasks as directed. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, adept at multitasking, and possess strong analytical and communication skills.
Position Responsibilities
Budget & Workforce Coordination: Collaborate with finance and various teams to consolidate, analyze, and track budgetary data and expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines. Administer Mission Systems overhead budget and provide guidance to managers. Lead workforce headcount planning, forecasting, and alignment across business units. Lead analysis and summarization of budget information, workforce levels, training requirements, and equipment/facility needs.
Reporting & Data Analysis: Design and implement monthly leadership reports including Mission Systems Execution Reviews (Scorecard and Business Performance Review) and Mission Systems Portfolio Reviews (accomplishments, budget vs actuals, overhead labor/non-labor, staffing data). Provide weekly staffing, performance, and other metrics reporting as requested by leadership. Analyze and interpret operational and financial data to support decision-making, including portfolio planning, IT capital and software planning, and facilities planning.
Long-Range Planning & Organizational Support: Lead the Long-Range Technology Plan (LRBP) process, managing data collection, analysis, and senior leadership reviews. Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets; monitor execution and communicate status. Facilitate recurring and emergent data calls, ensuring timely and accurate information flow. Support planning and coordination of organizational facility requirements. Support development and deployment of training content in collaboration with subject matter experts. Support cross-functional projects and initiatives spanning multiple business units.
Meeting & Review Facilitation: Schedule, host, and facilitate key processes such as Technical Design Reviews (TDR), Start Right, Gate Reviews, and Key Milestones across Mission Systems portfolios. Track and follow up on action items and decisions to ensure progress and closure. Support the development, coordination, and assessment of meeting content and leadership briefings.
Administrative & Communication Duties: Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take meeting minutes, maintain distribution lists, and manage organizational file shares and website administration. Facilitate communication and coordination between different business units to identify synergies and align goals. Undertake special projects as directed by leadership, including process improvement initiatives and strategic planning.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelors Degree or higher
5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
5+ years of experience producing and presenting executive-level presentations
5+ years of experience using SharePoint
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience with Management Information Systems (MIS)
5+ years of experience leading teams in formal and/or informal roles
Proven experience in budget coordination, communication with senior leadership, and business unit alignment within a corporate setting
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively
Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting at all organizational levels
Experience supporting mission-critical systems and organizational leadership in a corporate or defense environment.
Proficiency in Adaptive Planning, ProMPT, IRE, ARIBA, Power BI & Smartsheet is a plus
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range for Mid- Level (Level 3): $83,300 - 112,700
Summary Pay Range for Senior Level (Level 4): $95,000– $141,450
