Job Description
This position is responsible for managing, developing and motivating Sales Consultants, implementing sales plans, achieving company and/or supplier goals, monitoring, developing and maintaining account relationships and performing various administrative duties.
Job Description:
- Manage, develop and motivate Sales Consultants
- Develop a list of improvement or growth goals for each Sales Consultant and monitor progress
- Provide feedback to all direct reports on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis
- Educate sales staff to build/improve product knowledge and sales skills
- Establish a weekly contact schedule with each Sales Consultant
- Provide all tools and materials necessary for Sales Consultants to successfully complete assignments
- Develop and implement creative selling ideas within your team
- Identify and assist in the training of your potential replacement
- Conduct weekly group and individual meetings; attend and take part in the development and preparation of meetings and presentations for the division
- Implement sales plans and achieve company and/or supplier goals
- Review sales versus goal progress regularly and address issues immediately
- Assist in the development of brand sales programs
- Monitor, develop and maintain account relationships.
- Direct Sales Consultants to quickly recognize new account openings and opportunities in their areas to create a competitive advantage
- Work with sales group to identify and communicate competitive market activity in the marketplace
- Enforce the use of an organized master route schedule by the Sales Consultant to ensure frequent and consistent account contact
- Develop list of opportunity accounts with sales team where additional management contact and energy would create or improve business
- Have an active role in building key account business and relationships in your team’s area
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated leadership skills and prior management experience a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all functional areas and organizational levels
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Must be execution-oriented with the ability to work independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications, Go Spot Check, DIPA, One Drive and Divetab
- Must have a valid driver’s license and practice safe working and driving habits
