Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
• Provides nursing care in accordance with the physician’s orders and established facility policies and procedures
• Recognizes symptoms of withdrawal and reports these symptoms to the appropriate provider
• Medicates for withdrawal symptoms, based on physicians’ orders and in compliance with organization policy.
• Triage minor injuries and illnesses of patients and staff, in conjunction with medical staff
• Adheres to policies and procedures
• Assists medical staff as necessary and appropriate
• Collects specimens from patients as appropriate
• Documents nursing care provided including interventions and plans in patient record as required
• Maintains close communication with clinical staff regarding any medical information that may impact patient treatment plan
• Consistently completes all mandatory trainings on time
• Follows organization’s attendance and punctuality policies
• Can work as a member of the Valley Vista team
• Timeliness and completeness of required documentation
• Communicates with other employees, both orally and in writing
• Demonstrates knowledge of proper boundaries with patients
Qualifications Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:
• Has an active LPN license
• Graduated from a PA program
• Licensed to practice as an NP or PA

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum 1-year experience in a chemical dependency facility or related and 2-3 years related experience preferred, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
