Kitchen Cook - Day/Evening Available

Position Overview

The Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals that meet our residents' dietary needs while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals that are nutritious, appealing, and compliant with dietary requirements.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food prep areas
• Assist with inventory tracking and proper food storage
• Accommodate special dietary needs and provide alternatives as required

Communicate effectively with staff and residents regarding meal needs and preferences

• Support special meals or events as needed

• Previous cooking experience required; healthcare or residential facility experience preferred
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and dietary guidelines
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, resident-focused approach
• Culinary certification or degree is a plus, but not required
