Job Description: 

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in accordance with local and national electrical codes. This role requires a high level of skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or lead a small team of apprentices. The ideal candidate is experienced, safety-conscious, and capable of interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components 

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes 

• Lead small crews and oversee apprentice electricians when needed 

• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform diagnostics 

• Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget 

• Maintain tools, equipment, and job site cleanliness 

• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members 

Qualifications: 

• Current and valid Journeyman Electrician license in the State of Idaho 

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the electrical trade 

• Strong understanding of NEC and local electrical codes 

• Proficient in using hand and power tools, testers, and meters 

• Valid driver’s license 

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents 

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills 

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred)
