Job Description

The Life & Health Support Specialist will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service to our members, managing in-house scanning processes, and handling policy cancellations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and members. This is a part time position.

The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) is dedicated to representing and supporting independent truck drivers and small business trucking operations. Our mission is to enhance the lives of our members by providing valuable services and advocacy. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Life & Health Support Specialist to join our team and contribute to our mission.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality customer service to meet the needs for both internal and external customers through use of phone system, mail, email, fax, and face to face communication. Responding to all types of communication inquiries within the designated timeframes insuring communication is both friendly and professional.
  • Analyzes information/data through communications such as but not limited to, phone calls, emails, conversations, etc. to determine the appropriate action to provide the best customer service for the customer/member or other departments.
  • Recognizes and forwards appropriate files to subject matter experts.
  • Handles In-House scanning
  • Processes Returned Mail
  • Processes cancellations in daily workbasket and in system as well as Non-Pay Cancellations at the end of every month.

Required

 High School Diploma or GED
• Typing experience
• Computer experience

 

Helpful

Microsoft Office Suite experience
• Customer service experience
