Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Inventory Control Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Accounting
REPORTS TO: Business Office Manager
BACK UP: Business Office Manager
STATUS: Non-exempt
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete daily inventory to update sold notices, rollbacks and switches.
- Compile daily exception report to make sure inventory is at a 100% accounted for.
- Maintain all inventory jackets including MSOs and titles, including weekly inventory of MSOs and titles. Research and request items that are not accounted for from other locations.
- Review invoice/MSRP/ACV reports as received making sure any missing items are scanned into the appropriate folders, that same day.
- Issue floorplan checks from the 3-Day Temporary Registration Report.
- Prepare posting daily fundings and assist with processing wholesale deals (if assigned).
- Provide filing and receptionist duties as needed.
- Transfer jackets & DMV packets to appropriate locations as units are moved.
- Print stock sheets every Friday or as requested by Sales Manager for sales personnel.
- Communicate effectively with other departments via phone and email.
- Provide coverage and/or assistance for other accounting staff when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires ability to safely operate equipment.
- Requires ability to visually observe the condition of surroundings.
- Requires prolong sitting for up to 8 hours with shared working space.
- Requires the ability to work outside of normal business hours or on weekends to meet deadlines on occasion.
- Requires ability to hear and speak.
- Requires ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift and carry items between 20 and 55lbs often.
- Requires ability to occasionally push and pull items in excess of 55lbs with or without assistance.
- Requires ability to climb ladders and stairs of various heights.

Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
- Knowledge of automotive accounting; understanding of debits and credits.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- General knowledge of Excel, internet applications and ERP systems.
