We are seeking a proven leader who can launch and scale sponsorship and acquiring programs, while managing risk and enabling growth across a wide range of industries-including emerging markets.

Position Summary

The SVP, Director of Acquiring and Payment Sponsorships will be responsible for building and overseeing CCBank's acquiring business, ISO sponsorship programs, and payment partnerships. This individual will work closely with CCBank staff and related departments to establish the policies, procedures, and infrastructure needed to manage acquiring risk, maintain compliance, and support innovative payment solutions. The role will lead strategy, risk oversight, and portfolio management across ISOs, PayFacs, FinTechs, marketplaces, government programs, and others.

This leader will be instrumental in positioning CCBank as a trusted acquiring bank partner, driving scalable solutions while maintaining rigorous adherence to regulatory, card brand, and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development & Strategy

  • Launch and manage ISO Sponsorship Programs, including policies, procedures, and required documentation.
  • Build scalable sponsorship solutions for ISOs, PayFacs, marketplaces, FinTechs, and other third-party programs.
  • Develop and maintain a merchant risk appetite framework, including low, medium, and high-risk categories, plus restricted/prohibited lists.
  • Oversee BIN/ICA sponsorship programs and support acquiring processor relationships.
  • Work closely with related CCBank departments to:
    • implement multi-threaded merchant settlement and disbursement solutions for scalable operations.
    • Develop an integrated ACH offering

Risk & Compliance

  • In concert with CCBank's credit department, establish and oversee acquiring underwriting standards, including financial, credit, and compliance reviews.
  • Lead acquiring risk and compliance operations, including transaction monitoring, fraud detection, and first-line risk controls.
  • Manage card brand compliance programs, including GARS, VAMP, required registrations, alerts, and enhanced due diligence.
  • Build monitoring parameters for shadow transaction monitoring and MCC risk analysis.
  • Partner with card brands and regulators on program oversight, notifications, and industry requirements.
  • Conduct annual portfolio reviews of complex ISO and merchant accounts.
  • Ensure network-compliant reporting, oversight automation, and regulatory adherence (ACH/NACHA, OCT, AFT, etc.).

Leadership & Reporting

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a high-performing team of acquiring and risk professionals.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reporting to executive management, including KRIs, revenue performance, and emerging risks.
  • Prepare and present executive memos, risk reviews, and committee reports for senior leadership and board approval.
  • Build and foster a culture of innovation, risk awareness, and compliance discipline within the acquiring team.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in acquiring, sponsorship, merchant payments, or related financial services.
  • Deep knowledge of acquiring models, ISO sponsorships, PayFacs, card brand requirements, BIN/ICA sponsorship, and ACH/NACHA frameworks.
  • Proven leadership experience in building, scaling, and managing payments or acquiring operations.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and risk management frameworks (BSA/AML, card brand, OCC/FDIC expectations).
  • Excellent communication and executive reporting skills, with the ability to present complex risk and compliance topics clearly.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance innovation and growth with regulatory responsibility.
  • Experience leading or building a team
