The impact you’ll make
As an Opex Analyst at Lam Research Korea, you will play a key role in managing and analyzing operating and capital expenses to support the company’s financial health and strategic goals. You will report directly to the Opex FP&A Manager, collaborating closely to ensure accurate forecasting, cost control, and financial planning.
You’ll work cross-functionally with the Business FP&A team and the Accounting & Tax team within Finance, and partner closely with Operation and budget owners across the company. You’ll also ensure robust expense tracking, reporting, and compliance—contributing directly to operational excellence and financial transparency at Lam Research Korea.
What you’ll do
- OPEX & CAPEX Forecasting and Budget Management
- Own the end-to-end process of forecasting, reviewing, and managing all Operating Expenses (OPEX) and Capital Expenditures (CAPEX)
- Actively participate in all forecasting cycles, providing financial insights and driving planning accuracy
- Use planning tool, Workday-Adaptive to manage forecasting workflows, improve data integrity, and deliver timely, strategic financial plans
- Collect and validate budget inputs from all functions across the company, working closely with budget owners to ensure efficient control
- Provide guidance on cost optimization and ensure compliance with internal policies and financial targets
- Expense Analysis & Decision Support
- Analyze expense reports, identify trends, and investigate variances from budget
- Deliver accurate and timely data-driven analysis to support the manager and management in strategic and operational decision-making
- Conduct financial modeling, scenario analysis, and performance tracking to generate actionable insights
- Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare regular financial reports and dashboards to stakeholders
- Ensure all expenses comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
- Support internal audits, SOX documentation, and other compliance activities
- Process Optimization in Forecasting & Financial Operations
- Identify and implement improvements in forecasting workflows, budget planning cycles, and financial reporting processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial operations and reduce manual effort
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Business FP&A, Accounting & Tax, Operation and other business units to ensure financial transparency and alignment
Who we’re looking for
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in finance, FP&A, accounting or budget management
- Experience working in a multinational company is required
- Background in the semiconductor industry is a strong plus
- Skills
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Effective verbal and written communication with stakeholders at all levels
- Fluent in both Korean and English
- Experience with SAP and familiarity with Workdays-Adaptive planning tool is a plus

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
