Job Description
- Demonstrated skill in inpatient pediatrics
- Demonstrated skill in Neonatal Resuscitation
- Experience in medical education
- Experience in quality improvement is a plus
- Willingness to perform circumcisions
This position will be an ETSU non-tenure, clinical track faculty appointment (contingent on external funding). Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will receive a full benefits package through ETSU.
Responsibilities include providing nursery and pediatric services at Johnston Memorial Hospital, with the potential of also providing newborn care at regional Ballad hospitals in addition to Niswonger Children’s Hospital, the region’s primary pediatric inpatient site. Johnston Memorial Hospital is a community hospital in southwest Virginia in the Ballad Health network, which has an active obstetric service, a busy general emergency room, and a small pediatric floor that is used occasionally. There is an opportunity for involvement with quality improvement, patient safety, and medical student and resident education.
