Insights & Analytics
ZS’s Insights & Analytics group partners with leading high‑tech and software companies to solve their most complex go‑to‑market (GTM) challenges using advanced analytics, AI, and data‑driven decisioning
Our teams operate at the intersection of strategy, data science, and technology, helping clients turn data into scalable commercial impact.
You’ll work on fast‑paced, high‑visibility projects—often at the forefront of AI‑enabled commercial optimization, including customer segmentation, pricing, demand forecasting, sales effectiveness, and performance measurement
This role offers deep exposure to senior stakeholders, modern data ecosystems, and real‑world business problems where insights directly influence growth.
What You’ll Do
- Apply advanced analytics, modeling, and AI techniques to solve GTM and commercial strategy questions for high‑tech and software clients
- Partner directly with client teams to clarify business objectives and translate them into data‑driven analytical approaches
- Design and execute end‑to‑end analyses—from data definition and modeling through insight generation and recommendation
- Evaluate and integrate multiple data sources (e.g., product usage, sales, marketing, customer data) to generate actionable insights
- Communicate insights clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders, focusing on business impact and decision‑making rather than methodology alone
- Build deep domain expertise in client analytics areas such as pricing, revenue optimization, customer growth, or sales productivity
- Collaborate with cross‑functional ZS teams (strategy, data science, technology) to deliver scalable solutions
- Participate in multiple engagements simultaneously while maintaining high quality and client responsiveness
What You’ll Bring
- MBA with a bachelor's (and often graduate) degree in a quantitative, analytical discipline, such as Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Management Science, Data Science, Statistics, Econometrics, or Engineering
Alternately, candidates may possess a PhD in marketing, economics, decision sciences or related field with a business application
In lieu of an MBA or PhD, 5-8 years of relevant work experience may substitute.
- Up to 3 years of post-MBA relevant work experience, and 3-5 years of pre-MBA relevant work experience, with evidence of strong analytic work (including use of advanced modeling techniques and tools such as R, SAS, Tableau, or VBA
- High motivation, good work ethic, maturity and personal initiative
- Aptitude for, and enjoyment of, leading and managing teams.
- Effective oral and written communication skills that enable personal impact with senior-level decision makers.
- Strong attention to detail, with a quality-focused mindset
- Analytic problem-solving skills, with a creative and innovative outlook
