Compliance Officer (Legal Background)

Job Description (Accountability)

• Scope of Work:
   
  1. Monitor and provide updates on new or amended domestic and international laws and regulations, and communicate such updates effectively across all business units to ensure ongoing compliance.
  2. Conduct thorough legal research on relevant domestic and international laws, regulations, and regulatory trends affecting the company’s operations.
  3. Handle compliance-related incidents or complaints, including (but not limited to) product recalls, regulatory investigations, and consumer claims arising from product liability issues.
  4. Identify, assess, and report potential risks associated with non-compliance, including conducting due diligence reviews relating to company licenses and regulatory requirements.
  5. (Preferable) Candidates with prior experience in managing legal cases or with a practical understanding of the lifecycle of lawsuits, including court procedures and regulatory enforcement processes, will be an advantage.
  6. Prepare clear, accurate, and concise reports summarizing legal findings, risk assessments, and compliance recommendations for management and relevant stakeholders.

• Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent).
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to interpret laws and regulations and translate them into practical compliance guidance for business units. 
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • English language proficiency at business communication level (both written and verbal).
