Job Description
What I need to do (Key Accountabilities)
· Assist Lead Technologist with technical strategies to support the business growth
· Support Technologist in ensuring timeliness adhere to the Critical Path and supplier
management project
· Support in product appraisal process and coordinating with responsible Technologist for
sealing approvals
· On-site supplier visits for growing manufacturing knowledge
· Support in buying trips with relevant welcome packs
· Support relationship with external stakeholders including suppliers and third-party inspection
and testing service providers
What I need to show (Key Performance Indicators)
· Interest in quality systems, ethical audits, testing requirements and manufacturing processes
· Excellent communication skills
· Willing to learn new knowledge and have self-learning ability
· Robust personality and be able to work under pressure
· General commercial awareness, experience in dealing with internal customers
· Fluently written and spoken English
· Willingness to travel and visit suppliers if need
What I need to know (Knowledge, Skills & Experience)
Essential:
· Relevant technical and Engineering degree
· Relevant product experience is preferred
· Strong Excel and data management skills.
· Good communication and organizational abilities.
· General commercial awareness, experience in dealing with internal customers
Desirable:
· Experience working with UK or international retailers.
· Knowledge of future technologies coming into the industry such as 3D and digital way of working
· Willingness to travelling and visit suppliers if need. · Knowledge of sustainability and compliance standards in retail.
