Job Description

This position has full management responsibility for planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling. This includes managing budget, recruitment, training, performance management, and continuous improvement. Responsible for the implementation of strategy and development of the country's operational excellence to achieve high customer satisfaction & account relationships, growth, and development. This role will ensure the running of compliant and safe operations.

Roles & Responsibilities
** Customer / External Stakeholder Management
- Develop proposals and work closely with the Senior Manager on functional plans aligned with Regional, Divisional, and corporate strategies.
- Collaborate with and engage all stakeholders to ensure desired results, protect Company/customer assets, and minimize risks.
- Proactively identify and analyze business issues, opportunities, risks, and constraints.
- Actively participate in Business Reviews to assure Operational Excellence and drive growth/success.
- Continuously identify service gaps, recommend, and implement solutions to enhance customer satisfaction. Conduct post-implementation reviews and define/review measurement metrics.
- Engage local vendors/suppliers to seek value-added customer solutions aligned with commercial activities.
- Review and evaluate the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) at least annually. Be the first line of contact for BCP activation, lead BCPs, provide regular updates to Senior Leadership, ensure the team is fully trained, and manage the transition back to normal operations.

** Process Management
- Develop and manage processes and metrics for optimal organizational service and financial performance.
- Review and evaluate existing tools and processes within the area of expertise for wider business use. Source new tools and lead their development/implementation, and collaborate on other business process improvements.
- Ensure organizational commitment and compliance to company processes and procedures to maximize efficiencies and protect assets/reputation, including all Safety and Overtime related compliances.
- Periodically review Productivity, Headcount, G&A budgets, competitor benchmarking, and relevant KPIs. Introduce and monitor corrective action plans for abnormalities or non-compliance (e.g., OT hours).
- Ensure all functional teams' activities strictly comply with Company policies and external regulatory legal requirements. Nurture a functional culture of openness and respect to ensure compliance issues are discovered and addressed.

** People Management
- Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards. Embrace APLL Values and drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Ensure functional teams have the competencies, capabilities, and tools to deliver on goals. Develop and motivate individuals and teams, and determine the optimum organization structure, roles, and performance targets.
- Ensure the effective deployment of Company performance management, succession planning, and talent management.
- Prioritize “Safety Above All” by cultivating a proactive, safety-focused working environment.
- Empower teams to create innovative solutions with the commercial team.
- Manage peak/off-peak resource allocation and drive inter-department workflow efficiencies.

**Budget and Finance Management
- Prepare and submit the annual budget to the Senior Manager for review and finalization; ensure the achievement of financial and business objectives.
- Effectively manage functional budgets and take appropriate actions to control/reduce costs and optimize investments.
- Uphold and enforce the Company’s financial standards and policies. Support programs and initiatives that enhance revenue opportunities.
- Report monthly budget variances, including headcount variance for both G&A and non-G&A.

• Having a minimum of 5-7 years of working experience in the logistics industry and ideally proven track in managing large accounts (complex business rules) and engaging MNC stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge and experience of local Carrier, Forwarder, CFS, and Documentation procedures and International Supply Chain flows.
• In-depth knowledge of local regulatory, regional practices, and cultural differences.
• Highly data-driven and process-minded leader.
• Able to articulate complex supply chain topics, meaningfully engage senior stakeholders and seek solutions in an ambiguous environment. Able to leverage technology or mobilize suitable stakeholders to implement solutions.
• International work experience is advantageous.
• Problem-solving skills
• Good command of English and communication skills.

** Managerial Experience:
Experience in planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by Management (Over 3 years).
