Job Description

To provide support to the commercial team, managing the tender process from receipt to submission, performing economic evaluation for bids, communicating with both internal and external stakeholders, including the customers.

  • Lead end-to-end management of client enquiries, including RFQs, RFPs, ITTs, EOIs, prequalification submissions, and post award debriefs.
  • Support customer engagement activities, including acting as a client point of contact for the issuance of market enquiries.
  • Maintain and manage CRM System (marketing database) by identifying and implementing system and process flow, developing, reviewing, and distributing reports.
  • CRM system departmental super user, provide training to new employees.
  • Champion CRM system data quality, following up with users and correcting shortfalls. 
  • Act as the first point of contact for the CRM provider, manage the relationship and support levels, whilst driving cost consciousness.
  • Be responsible for CRM system development and change management.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration (Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal) to gather and consolidate inputs for market enquiry responses with a focus on quality of input.
  • Assist in the development, tracking and reporting of KPIs surrounding the marketing process, including pipeline analysis and key metrics surrounding the tender approval process. Develop reports and dashboards to aid the monitoring of these and allow management greater visibility
  • Responsible for maintaining department documents, including all tender documents, communication related to tenders, studies, economic evaluations, submission documents, clarifications, etc.
  • When assigned, own and manage the process for the development of detailed economic evaluation for tenders and other opportunities by coordinating with other functions to collect operational feedback on project costs, rig mobilisation assumptions, daily running costs, etc. 
  • Present to, and obtain, commercial management approval for the above economic evaluation.
  • Assist in the development of ad-hoc, detailed financial models to assist senior management in commercial decision-making beyond the above economic evaluation.
  • Assist with the continuous improvement of detailed policy and process directives for the marketing group.
  • Maintain and manage procurement and client portals (e.g., Ariba and similar systems)
  • Co-ordinate and drive the bid bond process in conjunction with treasury. 
  • Review and consolidate external market data, reports, and analysis in order to advise senior management on commercial decision-making.

Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Administration or Engineering

Essential:

  • Strong analytical skills and aptitude for data analysis
  • Communication and writing skills
  • Highly organized and ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while prioritizing work assignments
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

 

Desired:

  • Experience and understanding of financial modelling 
  • Prior experience in the oil and gas/energy industry.
  • Commercial acumen/experience
  • Experience with process efficiency and improvement.
  • Customer relations
