Job Description
AMZL Sr. Station Leader is responsible for all budgetary, people development and operations objectives for an Amazon Logistics Delivery Station (DS). Additional responsibilities include managing and leading a team of Operations, Area and Shift Managers, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the DS.
Key job responsibilities
Lead all delivery station operations with full accountability for safety, quality, performance, customer experience, and people development
Set clear expectations for Operations, Area, and Shift Managers, measure their performance, and provide coaching to support their growth and accountability
Build and execute a comprehensive talent plan that includes recruitment, performance management, learning and development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives
Manage 24/7 operations handling Amazon last-mile deliveries, oversee relationships with multiple Delivery Service Partners, and present operational metrics to senior leadership
Partner with key stakeholders across Transport & Sortation, Finance, HR, Loss Prevention, and Engineering to secure resources and implement strategic improvement initiatives.
A day in the life
As Senior Station Leader, you'll oversee all aspects of delivery station operations, from managing safety and quality metrics to coaching your Operations, Area, and Shift Managers through real-time challenges. You might start your day reviewing overnight performance data, then move into coaching conversations with your management team about process improvements. Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with Delivery Service Partners on logistics coordination, analyze operational metrics for senior leadership presentations, and identify opportunities to streamline workflows. You'll also dedicate time to talent development—whether that's conducting performance reviews, identifying high-potential team members for advancement, or designing learning initiatives that strengthen your team's capabilities. Your role balances strategic planning with hands-on problem-solving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Experience gathering and analyzing large amounts of data and delivering continuous business improvements
- Experience creating and executing effective talent acquisition strategies
- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in operations management, including responsibility for P&L, safety, and quality metrics
- Experience managing large-scale, complex operations with multiple teams or shifts
- Experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent
- Experience working in a 24/7 production environment
- Experience managing external vendors, distributors, partners or learning providers
- Experience managing and developing high performance teams
- Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
