
Senior Financial Analyst
Job Description
Essential Job Function
- Ensures the accuracy of financial reporting, analyzes and interprets financial results for multiple divisions, and provides recommendations to divisional finance leaders for strategic decision making.
- Develops new tools to meet customer and departmental needs.
- Provides recommendations that enhance net revenue or provide opportunity to improve expense utilization.
- Develops system procedures, documents standards, maintains records, and reconciles all calculations and data to the general ledger and other financial records in a timely manner.
- Maintains advanced knowledge of the financial computer systems and serves as a resource to others in their understanding of the reporting from these systems.
- Pursues automated processes to increase efficiency and eliminate non-value-added tasks.
- Supports the continuous improvement process by developing pro formats, schedules, analyses and recommendations necessary for leaders to make decisions to meet organizational goals.
- Educates end users on financial software and financial concepts through one on one and small and large group classroom training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Required: Bachelor's Degree
Experience
- Required: 5+ Years
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Department/role specific certification may be required. Required certification programs may include HFMA CHFP, CPA, or other certification programs defined by the department leader
