Objective:

 The role of an inventory supervisor is to be responsible for supervising and controlling inventory activities related to OCTG, line pipes, drilling materials, and oilfield tubular products within the ASMO Central Pipe Yard (CPY) to ensure accurate material tracking, proper storage, operational readiness, and full traceability of oil & gas tubular materials. The role supports safe and efficient yard operations by maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating material movements, and ensuring compliance with ASMO procedures, HSE standards, and operational requirements. The role is based at CPY site (Abqaiq Central Pipe Yard), a high-volume operational environment involving heavy pipe handling activities, large-scale logistics movement, and intensive material handling operations.

 

General Responsibilities:

 

  • Supervise daily inventory operations within the pipe yard. 
  • Ensure accurate receiving, storage, issuing, and tracking of pipes and materials. 
  • Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stock audits. 
  • Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, procurement, and operations teams. 
  • Maintain proper material identification, tagging, traceability, and documentation. 
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards and oil & gas operational procedures. 
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions. 
  • Support WMS/ERP inventory transactions and reporting. 
  • Optimize yard utilization and material flow efficiency. 
  • Supervise forklift operators, drivers, and inventory personnel.
  • Manage and supervise inventory levels and stock control processes.
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Train and supervise inventory staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments to predict inventory requirements.
  • Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies or issues.
  • Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet departmental requirements, policies, and standards.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance inventory management efficiency.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on inventory trends and performance data.

 

Qualification:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management is highly preferred or a related field.
  • Inventory Forecasting & Planning is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.
  • 7 years’ experience in a similar role or in Supply Chain functions.
  • Experience in Supply Chain / Logistics/Operations required
