As a Senior Engineer BIM/VDC, you will be responsible for driving the technical implementation and advancement of BIM/VDC processes in high-end projects within the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Develop and implement BIM/VDC strategies across interdisciplinary project teams
- Ensure model quality with a focus on data integrity, clash detection/prevention, and design consistency
- Coordinate model-based data exchange between disciplines (MEP, process, architecture, etc.)
- Provide technical guidance to project managers, clients, and project stakeholders
- Optimize project delivery through custom templates, metrics, automation scripts, and standardized VDC protocols
- Conduct internal trainings and promote knowledge sharing
Show your expertise
- Degree in engineering (e.g. process engineering, building services, architecture) or equivalent qualification
- Continuing education or degree in BIM/VDC is a plus (MAS, CAS , MSc)
- Appr. 5 years of professional experience in model-based planning and coordination of complex industrial projects (e.g. chemical, pharma, energy, data centers)
- Proficiency with BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, ACC, and ideally Plant 3D or MagiCAD
- Experience in interdisciplinary coordination and issue management for MEP systems and/or process plant design
- Solid skills in MS Office and high IT affinity
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a collaborative mindset
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
