Senior BI Analyst

Ciklum is looking for a Senior BI Analyst to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

As a Senior BI Analyst, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow working for one of the Ciklum’s client who develops a system designed to enhance learning, streamline school operations, and connect students, teachers, and parents in a unified digital environment. It provides real-time academic insights, and seamless integration with key educational tools.

The candidate will have hands-on experience with Power BI and will play a key role in transforming complex data into actionable insights. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain scalable data reporting solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate findings effectively through clear data storytelling and visualization
• Build, publish, and maintain interactive and insightful Power BI dashboards and reports
• Lead the creation of use cases and performance dashboards as part of the Data Strategy
• Responsible for the implementation and development of data visualisations
• Accountable for designing data engineering structures necessary to support BI initiatives
• Responsible for data integration management between core business applications, data lakes, etc. 
• Owns one or more key infrastructure components and works to continually improve them, identifying gaps and improving the platform’s quality, robustness, maintainability, and speed
• Cross-trains other team members on technologies being developed while continuously learning new technologies from other team members
• Interacts with engineering teams and ensures that solutions meet customer requirements
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable insights

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience within the Business Intelligence or Data Science field with a focus on Data Visualization and Data Analytics 
• 5+ years’ experience with Data Visualization tools - Power BI
• Good knowledge of data analysis in enterprises. Experience in BI consultancy for enterprise clients
• Knowledge of DAX and M for Power BI
• Experience coding in SQL 
• Experience participating in an Agile software development team, e.g. Scrum
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently 
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment 
• Experience with supporting data scientists and complex statistical use cases is highly desirable 

• Communication is a key. You speak and write in English fluently or at least at an upper-intermediate level

Desirable:

• 3+ years of expertise in cloud data platforms (Azure)
• Experience in data science and machine learning 
• Experience in CI/CD configuration and familiarity with version control (e.g., Git)
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and models using Databricks (PySpark/SQL/Delta Lake), Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory
