The role can be based in any of our PD&E sites: Magog (Canada), Malmö (Sweden), Cardiff (United Kingdom), Poznań (Poland), or Suzhou (China) and reports to Director PD&E Excellence

Are you ready to shape the way product development is conducted across Arjo?

At Arjo, we develop solutions that help improve outcomes for people facing mobility challenges.

We are looking for a Design Assurance & Process Development Manager to join our Product Development & Engineering Excellence team (PD&E). This is a newly established role, offering a unique opportunity to influence the processes, standards, and ways of working that support product quality, compliance, and innovation across our global organization.

About the Role

As Design Assurance & Process Development Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening and evolving how products are developed across Arjo. Working closely with colleagues within Product Development, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and other functions, you will help ensure that our development processes remain effective, compliant, and fit for purpose.

While this is an individual contributor role, you will have broad influence across the organization through process ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and improvement initiatives.

Your work will combine process development, stakeholder collaboration, training, and continuous improvement. Some periods may focus on updating and strengthening development processes, while others involve leading improvement initiatives, supporting teams, driving alignment, and identifying opportunities to improve how product development is conducted across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously improve the Arjo Product Creation Process and the Design Assurance & Systems Engineering sub-process
  • Coordinate Design Assurance activities across Product Development & Engineering and support alignment between teams
  • Develop, maintain, and standardize processes, procedures, and ways of working across PD&E
  • Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives aimed at increasing consistency, clarity, and efficiency
  • Support teams through communication, training, and guidance
  • Drive alignment across functions and promote best practices throughout the product development lifecycle

About You

To succeed in this role, you combine a strong understanding of product development with the ability to drive improvement across a complex, global organization.

Building alignment comes naturally to you, and you are comfortable working with stakeholders from different functions and areas of expertise. You focus on practical solutions that create value and are confident driving change when needed.

Experience & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we believe you bring:

  • A degree in Engineering, Technology, or another relevant technical discipline
  • Several years of experience within Product Development & Engineering, Design Assurance, Systems Engineering, or a related area
  • Strong understanding of product development processes within a regulated environment
  • Experience working with medical device regulations and quality requirements
  • Experience driving process improvements, change initiatives, or cross-functional projects
  • The ability to influence and build alignment in a global matrix organization
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English

Experience developing frameworks, governance models, or product development methodologies in a global organization is considered an advantage.

What We Offer

At Arjo, people matter. You will join an international organization where collaboration, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing are part of everyday work. We offer opportunities to contribute globally while continuing to develop professionally in a purpose-driven industry.

We also offer benefits such as:

  • Collective agreement or corresponding local employment benefits depending on location
  • Health and wellness benefits
  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements
  • Learning and development opportunities in a global organization
