Job Description
PURPOSE
Provide hands-on HR support across the employee lifecycle to ensure consistent policy application, compliance, and a positive employee experience. Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR processes.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with TA to support requisition intake, interview coordination, offers, and onboarding
Advise managers on policy, investigations, corrective action, and conflict resolution
Facilitate performance-management cycles, goal setting, development plans, and calibration
Coordinate compensation and benefits changes in partnership with Centers of Excellence
Deliver basic HR training on processes and systems to managers and staff
Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers, responding to employment-related inquiries and escalating complex matters as appropriate.
Support employee engagement initiatives and reinforce Calumet Values.
Perform routine HR tasks supporting payroll, benefits, compensation, HRIS, performance management, and talent planning programs.
Coordinate return-to-work and medical case management processes, including related documentation.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business or HR
2+ years of generalist HR experience
Working knowledge of HRIS and MS Office
Working knowledge of federal and state employment regulations
