Job Overview
Grasslands Club is seeking a friendly and dependable Golf Course Starter/Ranger to help ensure an enjoyable and efficient experience for all golfers. This position plays an important role in maintaining the pace of play, assisting golfers, and supporting daily golf operations on the course.
Key Responsibilities
Greet golfers and manage the starting tee according to scheduled tee times
Ensure groups begin play on time and in the correct order
Monitor the pace of play throughout the course
Provide information about course rules, safety guidelines, and course conditions
Assist golfers with directions or questions while on the course
Coordinate with the pro shop staff regarding tee times and course flow
Report any course issues, safety concerns, or rule violations to management
Help maintain a positive and welcoming environment for all guests and members
Qualifications
Strong customer service and communication skills
Friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to handle situations calmly and respectfully
Basic knowledge of golf etiquette and rules preferred
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
Ability to drive a golf cart safely around the course
