Job Description
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: Events Manager / Director of Food & Beverage
- Oversee all banquet functions including weddings, member events, corporate meetings, and private parties
- Coordinate event setup, service flow, and breakdown to ensure smooth execution
- Act as the primary on-site contact for clients during events
- Ensure adherence to club standards for service, presentation, and hospitality
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise banquet staff
- Lead pre-event meetings to communicate expectations and event details
- Maintain a high-performance, service-oriented team culture
- Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
- Collaborate with members and event hosts to understand event needs and expectations
- Ensure a personalized and attentive experience for all guests
- Address and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
- Work closely with the culinary team to align timing, and service style
- Review banquet event orders (BEOs) for accuracy and execution readiness
- Coordinate with other departments (golf, membership, facilities) as needed
- Manage labor and operational costs within budget guidelines
- Assist with planning for banquet operations
- Ensure banquet spaces are clean, organized, and set according to specifications
- Maintain proper inventory of banquet equipment and supplies
- Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- 3–5+ years of banquet or event management experience (private club experience preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in private clubs or luxury hospitality environments
- Knowledge of event planning software or POS systems
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
