
Loss Prevention Asset Protection Manager

- Protect company assets and reduce loss through proactive physical security strategies
- Lead, coach, and develop the Asset Protection team
- Oversee the design, deployment, maintenance, and auditing of physical security systems (access control, CCTV, alarms, fire & life safety)
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and follow‑ups to support compliance and effectiveness
- Manage vendor relationships and security‑related expenditures
- Represent Loss Prevention in construction projects, interdepartmental meetings, and industry activities
- Maintain confidentiality and respond to after‑hours emergencies as required
- Travel to company locations or industry events as needed
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in emergency situations
- Experience working with confidential and sensitive information
- Highly organized with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office; AutoCAD is an asset)
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret security system designs
- Education in physical security, construction, or equivalent experience
- Experience managing physical security systems and loss prevention programs
- Knowledge of retail and commercial security practices and applicable regulations
- Understanding of security systems design, risk assessment, and construction processes
- Familiarity with access control, CCTV, alarms, fire systems, and key control
- Provincial security worker license (or ability to obtain additional licensing as required)
- Industry certifications (LPC, PSP, CPP, ASP) are assets
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation
