About the Project
Cross Fraser Partnership (CFP) is a Bouygues Construction Canada Inc., Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas (FCC) Canada Ltd., Pomerleau BC Inc. and Arcadis Canada Inc. general partnership that has been selected to collaboratively deliver a new, eight-lane immersed tube tunnel that will replace the existing George Massey Tunnel on Highway 99. The new tunnel will have three vehicle lanes and a dedicated transit lane in each direction, with a separated active transportation corridor for cyclists and pedestrians.
Position Overview:
As part of the project team, the Scheduler will report to the Project Controls Manager and play a key role in the development, maintenance, and monitoring of project schedules. The Scheduler will collaborate with various project disciplines to ensure accurate planning, progress tracking, and timely reporting to support the successful delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and updating of detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6) and support progress tracking by collecting, validating, and incorporating input from engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
- Develop and maintain detailed resource- and cost-loaded construction schedules for heavy civil construction projects.
- Work with project teams to provide input for baseline schedule and monthly updates, while maintaining open communication with them when delivery schedules change to allow them to manage their time more effectively.
- Perform schedule analysis, including identification of critical path activities, float consumption, and potential delays, and support the development of mitigation measures.
- Monitor project progress against baseline and provide delay and time impact analyses.
- Prepare regular planning outputs, including lookahead schedules, progress updates, and schedule narratives for internal and external reporting.
- Incorporate scope changes to the schedule and prepare schedule updates/revisions as well as monthly progress reports.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment between schedule, scope, and execution strategy.
- Identify and document constraints, assumptions, and risks impacting the schedule, and support ongoing schedule optimization efforts.
- Review purchase orders and subcontract schedule status and provide management with input on subcontract performance.
- Support project teams with planning and scheduling during preconstruction, design, construction support, and construction phases.
- Work with the Virtual Design team to develop 4D schedules.
Education and Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5 years of heavy civil construction experience, preferably including mobilization of major project site installations, concrete, formwork, and post-tensioning.
- 5 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or project controls, preferably in infrastructure or construction projects.
- Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 or other industry-standard planning tools (Primavera P6 preferred).
- Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering background is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of the organization.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $90,000 - $120,000. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate’s experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program which is listed above. Availability of certain benefits may vary based on the specific job role.
