Compliance Officer / Legal Counsel

You will ensure proactive, business-oriented advice with focus on compliance (in particular corruption prevention, competition law, data privacy but also competition law, conflicts of interests, data privacy, and trade compliance) You will monitor developments in relevant markets, including new legislation related with competition law and data privacy You will prepare and review letters to governmental authorities In this role you will provide legal support for new and existing business activities especially onsite transactions, including, by way of example, drafting and negotiating complex supply contracts, feedstock contracts, and joint venture agreements Independently review compliance matters and provide clarification of facts Support implementation and continuous improvement of the local Compliance Program in alignment with regional and global compliance standards Furthermore you will identify, assess and monitor compliance risks and ensure appropriate mitigation actions are implemented considering company interests and reputation Provide risk-based compliance guidance enabling compliant business decision-making Support and/ or conduct internal compliance reviews and investigations, ensuring appropriate documentation, confidentially, and follow-up actions Also you will support the management of Speak-Up or whistleblowing matters in coordination with regional Compliance
