Position Overview
Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Residential and Commercial Teams in an efficient and effective manner. Works closely with Loan Operations Team leaders to develop and implement best practices in loan operations related processes and procedures. Pro-active, team-oriented leader with the ability to be influential and establish positive working relationships across the department and organization.
Primary Accountabilities
- Oversees the efficient processing of the Loan Operations work through directing by managing team leaders and supervising staff members and advising them in the more complex phases of their work.
- Identifies and addresses performance deficiencies through coaching, warnings, and recommendation of other disciplinary actions as warranted.
- Defines and enhances workflow improvements.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Bank’s loan products/services and related service provider application systems. Maintains technical knowledge of standards, policy changes and issues related to loan accounts.
- Implement, review, and update operation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations, and internal compliance requirements. Conduct various assessments and audits to ensure department procedures are achieving desired results.
- Respond to and/or delegate loan related customer inquiries and requests as needed or required ensuring all are completed and addressed accurately and in a timely fashion. Work with various department managers to resolve errors and streamline workflows.
- Assist with training and cross-training various Loan Operations staff to accurately and efficiently handle departmental duties.
- Assist with Escrow Analysis.
- Assit with Freddie Mac delivery and balancing.
- Assist with monthly reporting to Credit Bureaus and USDA.
- Assist in reviewing internal controls regarding segregation of duties, reconcilement forms, authorization of entries, etc. for reasons to improving internal controls and balancing procedures and eliminating operational problems.
- Assist internal and external auditors and regulators during annual and/or periodic audits and testing.
- Assist/Lead projects and other duties as designated by the Loan Operations Manager.
- Establish own work plan and priorities within a broad scope of established policies and procedures and referring only the most difficult problems to Management for approval, clarification or exception to Bank policy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Education and Work Experience
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree is required; Bachelors/Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience directly related loan servicing required.
- Three to four years of management or supervisory experience required.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance guidelines as they relate to servicing loans.
- Proficient with service provider software or comparable industry-specific software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Very strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage a varied workload.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with exceptional customer service communication.

Final offer will be determined based on a particular candidate's unique combination of factors such as skills, education, experience and certifications.
