We are seeking a 2nd Shift Supervisor for the Finishing Department. This role is responsible for managing day‑to‑day finishing operations while driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
Operations Leadership
Manage the day‑to‑day activities of the Finishing departments
Serve as a highly skilled, hands‑on operations champion focused on safety, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction
Improve efficiency of manpower and materials while maintaining safety as the top priority
Monitor operational performance through company reports and key metrics
Lead shift meetings, determine performance standards, and drive accountability to achieve company goals and objectives
Planning & Continuous Improvement
Assist in evaluating current and proposed systems, procedures, and workflows
Recommend changes when necessary and assist in the implementation of new processes
Play a significant role in short‑ and long‑term planning initiatives focused on operational excellence
Develop and maintain capacity planning strategies to ensure schedule attainment
Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve operational issues with contingency planning
People Leadership & Development
Perform all employee management functions in accordance with company policies
Foster and maintain a favorable, harmonious working relationship with employees
Train, coach, and mentor associates, supervisors, and other direct reports
Ensure subordinates support applicable initiatives for their teams in alignment with management policies
Support cross‑functional collaboration across departments
Professional Development & Special Projects
Maintain industry, professional, and technical knowledge through networking, industry events, and professional publications
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum of High School degree, with some college education preferred
Requires 5 plus years of progressively responsible experience, including scheduling and real time operations management
Strong experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Fulfillment
Must have Lean Manufacturing experience
Demonstrated Change Management leadership skills
Excellent strategic thinking skills
Solid ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong teamwork, communication, and organization skills
Exceptional problem resolution and analysis skills
Attention to detail and a strong focus on safety and quality
Prior experience with cross‑functional teams
Minimal travel as necessary
The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
