Job Summary
The Electronics Assembler I is an entry‑level production role responsible for performing basic assembly, inspection, and packaging of electronic components and subassemblies. Working under close supervision, this position follows detailed work instructions and established procedures to assemble products accurately, efficiently, and safely. The role contributes to product quality, productivity, and on‑time delivery while developing foundational skills in electronics assembly.Job Description
The Electronics Assembler I supports manufacturing operations by completing routine and well‑defined assembly tasks in accordance with documented standards and quality requirements. The role focuses on consistency, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality procedures. Success is demonstrated through proper execution of assigned tasks, minimal rework, and ongoing development of assembly skills.
Responsibilities
Unbox and physically identify the mechanical and electrical components required for the assembly as per the layout drawings, schematics and parts lists.
Possess the ability to read schematics and layout the control panel per the dimensions given.
Drill, tap holes, and mount/securely fasten components as required in enclosures and control panels.
Quickly, efficiently, and accurately assemble and point to point wire electrical control panels while maintaining a high level of quality.
Create and apply identification tags/labels as per drawings.
Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with peers and management (team player).
Identify and elevate opportunities for process improvements.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment and embrace the model for behavior supported by Nidec 3Q6S.
Maintain working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
High School Diploma or GED required
2+ years’ experience working as an electrical panel builder / wire person in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to recognize common electrical controls components.
Ability to use hand (e.g. wire strippers/crimpers) and/or power tools (e.g. drills, punches, jigsaws).
Ability to measure.
Ability to read Electrical Drawings/Schematics.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
