This is a new business role focused on building pipeline, creating opportunities and winning new customers through consultative, value-led sales conversations.The roleAs a Business Development Manager, you will speak with B2B decision-makers across the construction market and help them understand how Glenigan can support their commercial growth.You will build pipeline through proactive outreach, intelligent prospecting and clear discovery conversations. You will qualify opportunities properly, understand customer drivers and move deals forward with pace and control.This role suits someone who enjoys new business sales, knows how to create momentum and wants to be measured on real commercial outcomes. It is about creating pipeline, asking good questions, showing value clearly and helping customers see how Glenigan can support growth.What you’ll be doingYou will build pipeline through proactive outreach and intelligent conversations with B2B decision-makers.You will qualify opportunities properly, uncover commercial drivers and progress deals with pace and control.You will deliver confident, value-led demos that connect Glenigan’s capability to the customer’s goals.You will create clear, commercial proposals that make the value and next steps easy to understand.You will maintain at least three times pipeline cover against your quarterly target.You will keep Salesforce clean and current so your activity, pipeline and forecast are credible.You will handle objections, negotiate with discipline and close new business consistently.You will collaborate with Marketing and the wider Sales team, sharing insight that improves targeting, messaging and conversion.You will manage a consistent weekly rhythm across outreach, discovery, demos, proposals and follow-up.You will use coaching, feedback and performance data to keep improving.About youYou have experience in B2B sales, business development, inside sales, telesales or a similar commercial role.You enjoy new business and are confident opening conversations with people you have not spoken to before.You are motivated by targets, commission and seeing your performance improve.You can build consistent weekly output, not occasional spikes.You are comfortable speaking with decision-makers, asking questions and uncovering commercial drivers.You can deliver demos or customer conversations that focus on value, not features alone.You understand the importance of accurate CRM records and credible forecasting.You are resilient, organised and able to manage a busy pipeline.You can talk through your numbers, your wins and where you want to improve.Experience in construction, building products, data, SaaS, market intelligence or subscription sales would be helpful, but it is not essential if you are willing to learn the market.Why Glenigan Powered By HubexoAt Hubexo, commercial roles are closely connected to customer growth.
