
Hardware/Software Test System Engineer (f/m/div.)
Job Description
Your contribution to something big:
- Develop and support hardware and software test systems for automotive electronics, ensuring robust, efficient, and scalable solutions for series production;
- Analyze test data, create dashboards (Power BI, Tableau or similar), and develop queries and KPIs to enable data‑driven decision‑making;
- Collaborate closely with development teams to identify, analyze, and resolve test‑related issues;
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, support internal and external audits, and contribute to DLR activities;
- Participate in the industrialization of new test systems, including configuration, validation, and commissioning of equipment;
- Support the setup of test systems in production lines, both locally and internationally;
- Evaluate and validate test results, ensuring compliance with quality and performance requirements;
- Monitor and improve test system performance through KPIs such as FPY, retest rate, and test time;
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance cost‑effectiveness, reliability, and technological capability;
- Ensure proper knowledge transfer through clear documentation and communication with cross‑functional teams.
What distinguishes you:
Education
- Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
Experience
- Experience in test engineering, debugging, and validation in an industrial environment;
- Experience with production line test configuration and support (e.g., CCS) is an advantage;
- Knowledge of MES systems and database management (MES / OIS) is preferred.
Know‑how
- Strong skills in data analysis, dashboard creation, and KPI development;
- Understanding of series production processes and series‑care activities;
- Familiarity with regulated environments, audits, and technical documentation.
Languages
- Fluent English skills; German is a plus.
